Finished another Scramble remake this month. It started out as an update to my remake of 2006 because it doesn't run on more and more systems. This is due to the graphics beeing 320x240. So I rescaled all the graphics to 800x600 and put in some other exciting! new features. You can read all about those features and download the new remake from the remakes page.

I'm still working on my Scramble cabinet. Cleaned it thoroughly, installed new t-molding, a new monitor, a new power supply and electronics. The only thing that needs some work now is the control panel. Here are a few pictures of
my scramble cabinet (inside).
When everything is 100% cleaned, installed and working I will post more pictures. Maybe I'll shoot a video too.

news - June 2006 - remakes
The Retro Remakes Competition 2006 has started and I'm entering the competition with a game that I owned and played a lot back in the days: "Demon Attack" (Imagic, 1982, Atari 2600 version). Worked on the new (640x480) graphics and did some coding. It's a simple game but I'll try to extend the original gameplay.
news - April 2006 - scramble/remakes
This month I ordered another Scramble remake/clone. It's from Hamster, which is a Japanese company, and it runs on Playstation 2. Because it's an import product it may take a while before it will be delivered.
In June 2006 two great events will take place. The Fifa World Cup of course, but you already knew that. The other great event that has just been announced is the 2006 Retro Remakes Competition! This is fantastic news. I think I will enter this competition. More on this later...
news - March 2006 - scramble/remakes
The last few months I've worked on my remake of Scramble. It was harder than I thought it would be but it's done. Please take a look at it on the remakes page.
On March 9 my Scramble remake was on the news page of Retro Remakes (the largest game remakes community on the Internet). Not only did it attract many people to my site, it also Inspired people to write new Scramble remakes! Very nice!

Ladies and gentlemen, It was 25 years ago when Scramble was introduced. Yes TWENTYFIVE years ago this month! My congratulations go out to Konami. Hope they make a 25th Anniversary model like Namco did with Pacman!
news - September 2005 - site
After a year or so I started working on my Scramble page again. So what did I do in the mean time? Well: Worked hard (Fulltime job). Gamed a lot (Splinter Cell). Played guitar. Went to the pub with friends. Biked a lot. Went to the pub, then tried to drive my bike, and then...broke my arm. Learned Purebasic by programming Space Invaders. Bought a new Stereo system and listened to music a lot. Bought a new computer.
But now I'm back on it and there is much to do. I've already done the technical part. Have all the pictures that I want. Now I will focus on the text. This is the hard part for me because my English is not so good. But you've already noticed that I think.
news - August 2004 - site
The page is taking shape. For now I'm very pleased with the way it looks. I took some pictures using my brother's digital camera. They are looking good but I'm not going to use them all right now. Much work goes in the preparation of the images. I try to use images of good quality but also keep an eye on the file size. I know that many people still use 56k modems.
news - July 2004 - site
Started working on the page you are looking at. The idea is to make a simple page with some information on Scramble. With of course some cool pictures, with reviews of all the versions and with a place to put my Scramble and arcade projects... More on this later...
My only experience with web design is a simple page that I made for the company I work for. That was a few years ago and it was coded in HTML v3.0. So when I started on this page I started out with HTML v3.0 then switched to HTML v4.01 and finally switched to XHTML 1.0 with CSS. When you want to know more about HTML, XHTML, CSS and stuff you can go to W3schools. I really learned a lot from this page!
As of yet (July 2004) nobody visited this page. That's because I put some code in it so that search-pages such as Google don't list my page. When this page gets interesting enough I will erase the mentioned code.
